A mistake made more than once is a decision

We all make mistakes. We all fail. That’s part of life. But what sets apart the winners from the strugglers in the long term is the winners’ ability to learn from their mistakes. 👉 They go into [self reflection + ‘root cause analysis’ mode] instead of going into [self & others blaming + defensive mode]. They work on it like a computer program that needs debugging – iteratively problem solving and focusing on clinical changes to improve outcomes at each stage. And they file away the learnings for later, to be referenced and pulled out at a moment’s notice when a similar issues crops up in the future. When this ‘debugging’ behaviour becomes the default habit, every mistake becomes a self improvement opportunity.

A mistake made more than once is a decision, that reflects not only on what you choose to do, but who you are. A mistake is also the fastest way to learn a lesson that will last a long time. The choice is yours.
